Allow any desire or expectation to subside effortlessly in the understanding that you are already your self--whole, perfect, complete. If anything is stopping you from recognising this, it is only a thin layer of thoughts and feelings. Even in the midst of this experience self is shining through this layer. The 'I' shines in the midst of all experience, irrespective of content. First, we are lost in experience. Then we investigate and trace our way back to our true nature. Then we abide in and as our self. Then we return to the content from which we previously separated ourself, to recognise that our self is not just the background of experience, but is the knowing presence that pervades all experience. Welcome all experience equally as an opportunity to further establish yourself as this knowing.
