What is attention? It is simply the focussing of awareness, within awareness, on a particular object of experience. Allow the experience of the body to come to your attention but immediately drop the label ‘body’. Liberate your self, awareness, from its prison inside the head, and allow it to expand and encompass the entirety of your experience. Each of our minds is a little ripple of thinking and perceiving within the immensity of awareness. Understand yourself as that, feel yourself as that, abide as that. Feel the body – transparent, empty, luminous – vibrating. Allow feelings or emotions to return, ripples in awareness of awareness. Don't allow yourself to collapse into or onto any particular experience. Allow every aspect of experience, every element of experience, to arise, exist and vanish in its own time. If we do not interfere with experience, experience will not interfere with us.
