This meditation begins with a review of the two paths, the inward path of exclusion and the outward path of inclusion. The inward path can be said to lead to God, culminating in enlightenment, and the outward path to be a never-ending journey in God. We then contemplate the inner objects of experience, such as thoughts, emotions and sensations, until the objects dissolve in the aware openness in which they appear and vanish. The world is not what we see; it is the way we see. Sooner or later we must cease making a distinction between meditation and life.
