What will my daily life look like once I am enlightened?

Dear Rupert,

One of the greatest obstacles I seem to face is that I have ideas of what it might look like to not hang on to a personal sense of ‘me’. I find myself shopping, cleaning, taking care of the children, and will begin to wonder how it all will seem ‘one day’ when I see more clearly. I know this ‘one day’ will never come. Any suggestions here?

Nya-weh: Thank you for be-ing,
Joan

Dear Joan,

It will look just like this: shopping, cleaning, taking care of the children, but with no sense of a separate, inside self and therefore no sense of a separate, outside object, other or world.

The seamless intimacy that remains is what is known as love or beauty, and every gesture of ordinary everyday life will express and celebrate that.

With love,
Rupert
