Infinite being cannot separate itself from itself and say, ‘there is infinite being’. Only we can say that from our finite points of view. God cannot look back at its separated self and say, ‘there is God’ or ‘God is’. God knows only ‘I am’. Only from another’s perspective are we called ‘man’, ‘woman’, etc. Our knowledge of our self is infinite being’s knowledge of itself, which is God’s knowledge of itself. The only true knowledge of reality can be reality’s knowledge of itself, not our temporary finite view. That which is referred to only as ‘I am’ is both the beginning and end of all knowledge, the culmination of the paths of self-enquiry and devotion. There is just infinite being, and we are that, without being ‘we’ and without any ‘that’. As mind and body rest in being, they are progressively saturated with it till they are outshone and only being’s radiance remains.
