Sitting, remaining silent, closing our eyes all start and stop – true meditation doesn’t begin or end, it is just the ever-presence of being. Ask yourself: What is the difference between the quality of my being during meditation before breakfast and the quality now? Did quality of being change because of the numerous experiences in-between events? We can taste the quality of being now, and we tasted it then. Name and form derive from mind and body, but our essence is from being, which is inherently free of mind/body limitations. For the mind, there is time; for being, only eternity. ‘Now’ is the intersection between the two. For sense perception, there is space; for being, only the infinite. ‘Here’ is the intersection of the two. ‘Here and now’ is a portal through which the mind passes out of time into eternity, out of space into the infinite. Let this understanding do its work in you.
