Come back to being if indeed you ever left. Be sensitive to impulses to become happy, peaceful, enlightened, or to find God. Let all becoming subside. Let urges to know or understand dissolve in being. The mind’s highest truth is ‘I know that I know nothing’; from being’s view, it’s simply ‘I am’. What seems empty to mind is fullness for being. Notice impulses to practice or meditate. All practices begin and end in being – why not start there? Be aware of boredom, a temporary state mind superimposes on our true nature’s peace. Like one seeing absence of a painting where another sees just wall, mind perceives absence of experience as boring. The separate self is a contraction in the heart that cannot be fulfilled, only dissolved. Search for enlightenment is a misnomer. Be sensitive to expectations something will happen. Nothing will happen – a disappointment for mind, yet for being the ultimate consolation.
