Return to the feeling of being underlying and pervading all experience. Being is not a feeling but a colourless backdrop to all feelings. Referring to being as a feeling is not accurate but experiential. Seeking fulfilment in the objective leads to boredom, prompting the mind to revert to thought. Deep contentment cannot be found in the objective alone. The teaching doesn’t offer novelty but redirects experientially to the true source of fulfilment and peace – our being. Let boredom or expectation dissolve into the simplicity of being. It’s akin to staying awake within sleep’s onset, or a cat in sunlight, awake but content, undisturbed by desire or memory. Recognise thought’s allure but stay with peace of being. Being reveals peace and joy the more we immerse in it. The unqualified, unaltered ‘I am’ persists through all experiences. Embrace the ‘I am’ amidst experiences, and life’s distractions lessen their grip, establishing you in your inherent peace.
