In this meditation we ask what remains of ourself when everything that can be removed from us has been removed. Only that qualifies as ourself. As we gradually establish ourself in our true nature, our inherent peace and happiness begins to pervade our experience from the inside. First we have a glimpse of our true nature, then we establish ourself in our true nature, then we lead a life that is consistent with the qualities inherent in ourself.
A man asks Rupert to distinguish thoughts that point us to our true nature from those that arise on behalf of the separate self.
A man ask why consciousness creates manifestation at all.
A man asks Rupert for assistance in dropping his sense of himself in order to abide as his essential self.
A woman shares that she feels connected to her true nature while connecting with others but then feels pulled back into a separate self, and asks Rupert for guidance.
A woman asks about the difference between the feeling of being and consciousness knowing itself prior to manifestation.
A woman asks Rupert to clarify the statement, 'The self is known'.
A man asks about the difference between being equally happy with whatever arises and not caring what arises.
A woman asks Rupert to use the analogy of John Smith and King Lear to illustrate the process of going inwards to our true nature and then outwards towards the objects of our experience.
