Rupert reads the introduction from his book, 'You Are the Happiness You Seek', in honour of World Happiness Day. This understanding does not in any way imply that we cease engaging in objective experience, but we cease using the world in service of our happiness and instead use our happiness in service of the world. Uncovering the awareness of being is the direct path to happiness. We believe that happiness is produced by the object, substance, activity, relationship, and so on. That is not the case. All that the acquisition of the object or substance facilitates is the end of seeking. When seeking or resisting comes to an end, we cease leaving the now and cease venturing into the past or future. There is the presence of happiness or the veiling of happiness but never the absence of happiness.
