Anandamayi Ma said, ‘There is only one. Everything else is an appearance.’ The One views itself through the lens of sense perception, appearing as many while remaining itself. Thought names these forms, creating the illusion of separation. Perception and conception weave a veil of separation over unity, but they are not other than the One. As Anandamayi Ma noted, the world reflects our perspective: if we see many, it is many; if we see one, it is one. The belief in separation is our imposition on the world. We can choose to see separation and suffer accordingly or infuse appearances with oneness. At every moment, we can see, know and be only the One. If you seek a practice – simply be the One. Being the One is the way to the One. The highest spiritual path is a pathless path from the One, through the One, to the One; from yourself, through yourself, to yourself.
