While initially, there is a sense of going back and forth between experience, and the background of experience, or our true nature, the pathway between gets easier and shorter. Each time we abide as awareness, content loses its power to take us away from ourself. We becomes established in and as our true nature. Be as you essentially are, let experience be as it is. Leave experience alone, and experience leaves us alone. There is nothing to acquire, nothing to achieve, nothing to become. There is nothing to let go of, nor any need to disidentify from any experience. Practice is preparation for non-practice, the recognition that we are already free from the content of experience. Meditation is the way of recognition, not effort. There are not two things--experience and awareness. There is nothing but this single, indivisible whole, our true nature, or God's being.
