When we dream, the mind travels to have numerous experiences, but the awareness within which those experiences appear and are known never goes anywhere or does anything. In the waking state, the body engages in numerous experiences, but we, the awareness within which they arise and with which they are known never goes anywhere or does anything. ‘Non-meditation’, is simply to be knowingly this awareness. It is just our natural condition. In ‘non-meditation’, the mind goes neither outwards towards objects for happiness nor inwards towards the self for enlightenment. We remain as we effortlessly are. For those accustomed to efforts on a progressive or the Direct Path, ‘non-meditation’ may provoke mind resistance. Be courageous. Don’t be attached to a method, practice, teaching or teacher. In this Pathless Path approach, we should barely notice the difference between formal meditation and the rest of the day. Guard the flame of being from the winds of experience.
