From the Many to the One

All spiritual pathways and practices proceed from the many to the one. When we first look at our experience, we see thoughts, images, feelings, memories, sensations, perceptions and so on. Any effort we make towards the one infinite and indivisible reality would be the effort of becoming, which is founded on the presumption of separation. To know reality as it is, we must remove from it everything that the finite mind imposes on it. The experiences of love and beauty are like invitations from reality into our world of appearances. When we go deeply into our external experience, divesting it of all the limitations that are superimposed on it by our perceiving faculties, all that remains is infinite being.
