Experience Is Always One Thing

Understand and feel yourself as the space of awareness within which the entire content of your experience appears. A thought, emotion, sensations or perception cannot be hurt. The space of awareness cannot be hurt. The separate self is not non-existent as such; it is an illusion. An illusion is not something that is non-existent; it exists but is not what it appears to be. When we look for that one, we never find it. From the point of view of the apparently separate self, this investigation seems to be something that we do, but ultimately there is no such separate self, either to practice or not to practice. We understand the body has a sensation, and we recognise that we are not that sensation. It may have an intensity to it, but don't superimpose the belief of density on to the intensity of pure sensing, pure knowing. Experience is always one thing, and if we touch that thing, all we find is knowing.
