All the religious and spiritual traditions can be distilled into three basic pathways. The progressive paths involve the directing of our attention towards some object of experience. The direct path involves not the extroversion of attention towards an object, but an introversion of attention towards the self. We go directly to the source of attention. On the pathless path, we remain in that placeless place between the outside and the inside. Just being or simply being is the culmination of all spiritual practice. If infinite being were to give itself a name, it would call itself ‘I’, for 'I' is the name that that which knows itself gives to itself. The mind should tremble at the sound of the name ‘I’. It should stand before it as does a candle to the sun. ‘I’ is the reality of everything and everyone. Understand this, feel this and live its implications.
