Be Still and Know That I Am God' from the media ‘Be Still and Know That I Am God’

View all experience with disinterested affection. Welcome everything, yet have no vested interest in the content. Nothing to gain or lose. Thoughts and feelings arise. Let them flow by without flowing with them. What is contemplating or aware of experience? Don't name it. See what happens as the mind tries to find an answer, not conceptually but experientially. The world is experienced through perception. Sights and sounds are known. We are aware of them. What is aware of my experience? Say ‘I am’ and experientially go to that which the words refer. I am that which is aware of all experience. The ‘I’ that knows and that which is known are the same. When thoughts, feelings, perceptions disappear, what remains? ‘I am’. Be interested in that – isn’t that God? An immense silence lies just behind experience, within which everything moves, lives and exists. Be still and know that I am God.
