Whole, Complete, Pristine, Free

You do not need to change, heal, improve or enlighten yourself. You need only know yourself – not as the person you seem to be, but as the self that you truly are. As Meister Eckhart said, ‘if the soul could know herself without image, she would know herself as she is in God.’ All that is required is to let go of the entire content of experience. When everything that can be let go of is let go of, our essential being is revealed as naked being – infinite being, God’s being. In the innermost sanctuary of your heart, your being stands naked and free. That place has never been hurt, does not need to be healed. It has never been dimmed by experience and does not need to be enlightened. You are already whole, complete, pristine, free. You are already infinite being. It is not possible to know God as another.
