The inward-facing path – Vedanta, the via negativa – means losing interest in experience and sinking into being. This is necessary because most are lost in content, having overlooked being and its peace. Now allow attention to go back to experience, but remain as being. Let attention go where inclined. Turn towards experience rather than away. Embrace what you previously turned away from. Bring experience so close you no longer stand apart. Take experience so deeply you no longer know what it is. You drink your experience; it turns into yourself. You devour your emotions, devour the world. This is the outward-facing path, the Tantric approach, the path of love. Once experience has lost its veiling power, embrace it. Eventually both paths accomplish their mission. You become natural again – no distinction between inward and outward. The spiritual adventure is over. The teaching must end itself. Vedanta means the end of knowledge, which is source.
