The Essence of Self-Enquiry

In the essence of self-enquiry, meditation, prayer, and surrender to God, the ultimate path is to simply abide as being. Our innermost essence, infinite being, radiates in the mind as 'I am.' Unadorned, 'I am' points directly to God's being. It is the divine name, as Meister Eckhart proclaimed, signifying God's pure essence, devoid of alien elements. 'I' is the portal bridging the perceived gap between our finite self and infinite God. Yet, this portal, akin to the eye of a needle, demands us to pass through it stripped of all attributes. As we delve deeper into being, shedding borrowed attributes, our finite self dissolves, revealing infinite being, God's being. Whether in the form of 'I am' or clothed in thoughts, feelings, or perceptions, God's infinite being permeates all experiences – the unifying force transcending divisions of thought and perception. We discover God's naked being within and around us, manifesting as peace, joy, love, and beauty.
