When your perceiving faculties sleep in unfocused receptivity, you hear the celestial song that nature always sings. All things shine with the being from which they borrow existence. Your perceiving faculties clothe infinite being in name and form. Your finite mind gives it local habitation and a name. We're not simply observing; we’re participating. The infinite gives birth to itself as the world through participation with your finite mind, just as a mother gives birth to herself as her child. Infinite being consents to separate itself from itself. Just as a mother sacrifices herself for her child, God's infinite being sacrifices itself for creation. Every desire is the gravitational pull of God’s infinite being. Every longing is the reverberation of God’s love. Every sorrow is the consequence of this sacrificial act. Everything sings its celestial song. God's presence shines as the essence of all things and as your imminence. The unity of being is love.
