The awareness of being, which is silent, colourless, transparent and formless, is our primary and constant experience. However, our awareness of being is often veiled or obscured by the contents of experience, such as thinking, feeling, sensing, perceiving, acting and relating. In this meditation, we remain in touch with being in the midst of doing and discover that our being, which shines in our experience as the knowledge ‘I am’, is the only element of experience that never changes. This simple knowing of our essential, irreducible being as it is, is peace itself. The awareness of being is a quiet joy.
