All great spiritual traditions are founded on absolute truth – understanding unfiltered by the finite mind. The finite mind refracts reality through thought and perception, making the One appear as many. Only the One’s view of itself can be true. The One cannot stand apart from itself to know in subject-object relationship. It knows only its own being, self-luminously. We rarely hear of this because from the One’s point of view there’s no one needing teaching. Spiritual traditions are compassionate concessions to our difficulty with the absolute. The highest expression the One could give would be ‘I am’. From this, all teachings elaborate. We have direct access through awareness of being, unmediated by thought or perception. When we say ‘I am’, the One’s experience shines in us – the trace the infinite leaves in finite mind, a bridge from finite to infinite. It is origin, pathway and destiny. Both absolute and relative views are complementary.
