Luminous Openness - Already Free

Be aware of any expectation that something special is going to happen. Nothing special is going to happen. Disappointment exposes expectation. Expectation and disappointment are of the mind. In awareness, there is no expectation. Just as the sun neither expects nor demands anything, awareness neither demands nor expects anything from experience. The special experience you were expecting is already present, already your nature. The light of the sun doesn’t need liberation. Awareness doesn’t need liberation from experience. You were never conditioned by it. See that experience is not only known by awareness, it also takes place within awareness. Thoughts arise in an aware openness inherently empty of thoughts. Awareness has two qualities: knowing (or luminosity) and containing (or spaciousness). Just as space has never been affected, awareness has never been affected. You do not need to heal or improve. You are already free, at peace, whole. Just be the awareness you naturally are.
