Everybody knows the experience of happiness. However, not everybody knows that the happiness we have sought for so long in situations, activities and relationships is the very nature of our self and lies in potential within us, accessible by all people and at all times. All that is necessary to access our inherent happiness is to go directly to the experience of our own self or being, behind the layers of thought and feeling by which it has been obscured. In these meditations and conversations, Rupert guides us in exploring the simple knowing of our own being, the source of the lasting peace and happiness for which all people long.
This five-day Retreat at Home with Rupert will offer two sessions per full day, starting with one guided meditation on Friday 20th. During the rest of the retreat the first one and a half hour sessions will be guided meditations. These will include both the inward-facing path of self-enquiry in which we discover the peace and happiness that are the essential nature of our self, and the outward facing path, or ‘yoga meditations’, in which we explore our experience of the body and world in the context of the non-dual understanding. The second two-hour sessions consist of conversations, in which participants are invited to submit their questions to Rupert about any aspect of the non-dual understanding. These sessions are an opportunity to find peace in ourselves and to discuss many of the challenges and difficulties that we all face. No prior knowledge of the non-dual understanding is needed to attend the retreat and we welcome old friends and new.
All you need to participate is a computer, or mobile device, with a built-in speaker and microphone, and access to the internet. Francesca will walk you through the sign-in. The meetings will be held using the Zoom platform, which is simple to use. Participants also receive a link to stream the recordings of the sessions, this means that you will be able to catch up on any missed sessions during the retreat and watch when you are able.
To optimize your webinar experience we recommend a wired connection if possible. If you do use a WiFi connection, close all or most other devices using the signal. For mobile devices, a 3G or 4G connection is needed.
