The non-dual understanding suggests that reality is an indivisible whole whose nature is consciousness, spirit or love, from which everyone and everything derives its apparently independent existence.
The experience of love is an intervention of reality into the subject–object relationship through which our experience is usually mediated. It is the collapse of the subject–object relationship and the revelation of the being that we share with everyone and everything.
The weekend will consist of guided meditations and conversations during which we will explore this understanding, and in particular how we might implement it in our lived and felt experience.
The weekend will begin on Friday with a guided meditation. There will be two meditations on Saturday, with a break in between, and on Sunday there will be one final meditation, with a Q&A session following the break. Details of the schedule are below.
All you need to participate is a computer or a mobile device, such as a tablet or smartphone, with a built-in speaker and access to the internet. The platform we use for the sessions is Zoom. Francesca will walk you through the sign-in process, which is very simple, and she will email you with the invitation to join ahead of the weekend. Participants also receive audio and video links to stream the recordings of each session, and these will remain active for 30 days.
To optimize your retreat experience, we recommend a wired connection if possible. If you do use a Wi-Fi connection, close all or most other devices using the signal. For mobile devices, a 3G or 4G connection is needed.
