God’s Infinite Being Veils Itself

Why does God’s infinite being know nothing of the world? All experience requires subject-object duality. The infinite cannot stand apart from itself. Where would it go? Creation lies in potential within the infinite, but cannot be actualised without consenting to veil itself, to localise as a point of view by rising in perception. Yet this veiling never really happens – only seems to from finite mind’s perspective. Why manifest? Not from ignorance or sin, but from love, from overflowing super-abundance. God freely sacrifices itself for manifestation. We are participants – perception brings existence from being. God creates nothing other than itself. Its luminosity must be dimmed for manifestation, just as sun must set for stars to become visible. Traces remain: ‘I am’ shines undimmed in interior experience; love shines brightest in exterior. From the infinite’s point of view, there’s no bridge to the finite, no world. Raise everyday life up into this understanding.
