Recognition Is Spontaneous Liberation

As soon as the space in this room turns its attention away from the four walls within which it seems to be contained and recognises itself, it is spontaneously liberated from its previous limiting misunderstanding. It does not suddenly reunite with the vast space of the universe; it was always that. Similarly, all we need do is remove the misunderstanding that what we are is limited to and generated by the ‘four walls’ of the body; that we share the characteristics of our thoughts, sensations, perceptions. We don’t suddenly unite with infinite being through this recognition; we are always already that. Once this is clear experientially, the world becomes increasingly transparent to its reality. Before they seem to be differentiated from us, we feel that we are the same being as everyone and everything. Our understanding overrides the evidence of sense perception. The world, which once seemed to conceal its reality, now shines with it.
